Hello friends and welcome to the 26th episode of the Still Spinning Podcast which also happened to be our second LIVE broadcast!

We kicked things off by talking about our loving and supportive spouses, both of whom were watching the broadcast!

Boy, Nicole sure hates the self-checkouts at retail stores. Dan loves them BUT has a suggestion on how we can all enjoy them more. It involves two lanes and a level of experience. Have you ever had to help someone with a self-checkout? Or at a gas pump? Or anywhere for that matter? This segment might be for you!

Concertgoers have reached a new level of WTF. First, we hear a story that involves a sign and then Nicole shares something that happened to her at a concert last week. We also learn a story about Nicole's youth and the song Leader of the Pack.

Oh, GrubHub, how have you messed things up this week?! Dan seems to always have a story to share and this week is no different! He shares a personal story as well as a national story that will have you questioning letting anyone else near your food.

Welcome to week 25 of the Still Spinning Podcast! I am not going to lie, Dan and Nicole must have been in a mood when recording this one because things get a little dark this week, so buckle up. Right off the bat, Dan asks Nicole about her weekend and learns a whole lot about the kind of headaches she gets. This chat kicks off the theme for this week, which seems to be about getting old and trying to stay healthy.

Inflation has run amok and no one is safe, not even the Girl Scouts! Cookie prices are going up and I cannot even tell you about the rabbit hole this topic leads us down, you will have to listen in to follow it.

Netflix has announced they are going to launch some brick-and-mortar stores in order to host some immersive experiences, their shows being at the heart of them. It will shock no one that Dan is not interested in immersive and Nicole is. Also, Dan gets VERY close to insulting a movie/experience near and dear to Nicole's heart and I know at least one listener who would be on Nicole's side for this one. Think you know what it is??

The world lost Suzanne Somers over the weekend, at age 76 (almost 77). This feeds into Dan and Nicole's spiral this week about being old. Find out the new descriptor Dan heard someone use when describing a person of a certain age. Also, learn more than you probably want about our medical histories.

Welcome to episode 23 of the Still Spinning Podcast! Nicole is back in the country so our schedule should go back to normal next week (Wednesday release date for the regular episodes). Speaking of being out of the country, on a flight from Edinburgh to Dublin, Nicole noticed and interesting addition to the flight attendants' pre-takeoff speech. Tune in to find out what it was and hear Dan's decent theory on why it happened.

Returning to your inbox after a few weeks away is always interesting but a Google message that popped up for Nicole sparked the next thing on the podcast agenda, the Google "Ad Privacy" notice. Nicole argues it should be called something completely different and Dan and Nicole chat about Google ads and what they would, and would not, like to see.

Dress codes are in the news, specifically around the Senate. Dan and Nicole both have some pretty strong feelings about what is appropriate to wear out in public. Are you wearing something they would approve of??

And finally, a new dog park BAR is opening in Chicago and it is not the only one of it's kind. Dan and Nicole give it two enthusiastic thumbs up! Nicole closes the show with a phrase she has managed to avoid for 23 weeks, listen to the very end to find out what it is.
