Welcome to episode 35 of the Still Spinning Podcast. We are going to go LIVE for 2024! That is right, every week, we will do the regular podcast live on Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube. We kick things off with a bit of a recap of our holidays, and it turns out Dan got something he has been wanting but not needing for quite some time. Is it a useful gift?? Perhaps! Tune in to hear what he got.

There is a UW Chancellor who is in some hot water for his "hobby" which involves vegan cooking and making porn. He and his wife put on quite a show, and he was let go from his job. Should he have been? Should he have tried to hide it? Is there a sinister plot behind it all??

Job interviews are a special kind of hell and it turns out, one man in Australia has a special test he uses to decide if a candidate is a good fit. Would you pass the test? Dan hates it and lets us all know why.

Dan has a life hack for 2024. Never want to pay for breakfast ever again? Tune in to hear the hack. And then Nicole offers up her own life hack that is kinda tied to Dan's. You may never eat or pee the same way again.

And finally, there is a lawsuit happening in Florida right now that will really make you roll your eyes. We discuss.

Welcome to episode 34 of the Still Spinning Podcast. In big news, we will likely be doing all regular episodes LIVE on either Monday or Tuesday evenings so catch us on Facebook, Youtube, X and Instagram. It should be oodles of fun.

We kick things off by talking about a new holiday movie that Dan was against last year when it came out, but after being forced to watch it, he realized that it was actually really good! What movie?! Guess you will have to watch to find out.

We also chat a bit about our holidays and have some other holiday recommendations for you. This segues into yet another “beginning of the end” AI story. Would you like to play a game? With AI? Because you can, and it will be the end of all of us. This one really scares me and I just shake my head at it all unfolding.

Has Dan learned his lesson and stopped using GrubHub?? Of course not. Does that mean more stories for the podcast? You bet it does! What will it take for him to stop??

And finally, another plane story but the moral of this one is you NEVER know who you are talking in front of so mind your manners.

We kick things off by talking about the best punishment we have seen for bad behavior in quite some time - bad behavior punished with work! A woman threw her food at a restaurant worker and the judge gave her the very best punishment, one that might make the world a better place.

Would you leave your spouse over their love of a musical artist? Or them skipping out on something special you both have planned to see a show? Well, this guy did and we discuss. We also dig into the "lucrative" world of being a radio plant for some of the jucier segments.

The newest trend in the workplace is called "Coffee Badging." It is an original idea, that is for sure. Nothing Dan or Nicole would ever do but we are not the norm.

One more marriage story. Did this guy have the best or worst wedding vows ever spoken?? We also hear who runs Dan's household. A hint, it is NOT him.

Somehow we managed to spin this topic into a 22-minute discussion, certainly our longest topic to date! How do we get to rules about flying and who can and cannot say they are from Chicago?? A cruise around the world sure sounds fun! Unless it is canceled DAYS before you leave. This happened, and we have some thoughts.

The TikTok universe has a new relationship test that is trending, and I have to tell you, I find it an unappealing test. We talk a bit about the love languages, and Dan shares a story about the best place his wife could have taken him out with a blunt object. Episode 31 of the Still Spinning Podcast was LIVE! We kicked off the night by talking about the naked 20-something who ran around the It's a Small World After All ride at Disneyland. Is this a ride you would like to associate with you being naked??

Hall and Oates are in the news and it is not good. It involves a restraining order and neither Dan nor Nicole could go for that.

Dan has a cat?! The dang thing is a real attention-monger and makes his first on-air appearance.

People are always selling things on FB Marketplace but what happens when you sell something and THEN realize it was worth so much more?? Should you be allowed to get it back? Get more money from the buyer? Is there a moral obligation to tell someone they are underselling? We cover all those questions and so many more.

Finally, there is a new "supplement" out there that can un-drunk your drunk state. It could be a very interesting development, and look for it on shelves next to the 5-hour energy drink!

Next up, another issue on a plane! Just because you CAN sing does not mean you SHOULD sing. We talk about yet another person who really believes the world revolves around them and share our thoughts on the topic. Spoiler alert! We do not think it revolves around them!

Since it is Thanksgiving week, maybe we should talk about something positive. Well, we try to anyway. New research shows that doing something small every day (they call it a "micro-joy") is beneficial to your overall well-being. We explore this idea and share some examples of us being nice to others. A shock, I know.

Nicole has just returned from a family wedding in Oklahoma and Dan recorded on location in the Quad Cities so we kick off by discussing some hotel stuff. Dan about which ones he prefers, and Nicole about "getting in trouble" in the lobby.

Next up, did you know there was a town in Missouri named after a planet and hilarious body part?? Well, Nicole sure did not, so that discovery while on the road trip was VERY fun. No shocker, Dan knew all about it.

Spotted on a billboard, "Happy Wife, Happy Life" which set Nicole off and so she had to bring it up to Dan. We chat about this antiquated advertising slogan.

And lastly, should teachers have Only Fans accounts?! There seems to be a difference of opinion on this side of things. Tune in to hear us hash it out.
